Yo Gabba Gabba

For those of you who are familiar with Yo Gabba Gabba, we thought we'd share Kadence's resemblance to Brobee.

And with that, this post will be the last on kadencejane.blogspot. Kadence is well into her 2nd year, so she'll be a regular contributer on www.quincyruth.blogspot.com. We've had fun sharing and thanks for reading!

Tahoe for New Year's

What fun! Quincy and I were good girls on the way to Tahoe. We have fun holding hands in the car.

But, I don't know about this outfit. Not comfy, Mama, NOT comfy.

We ventured out into the snow and I felt like I was supposed to like it but I couldn't hold onto anything with those long sleeves hanging down. And I couldn't walk in those big snow boots. So, I spent most of my time just checking things out.

Mama took me on the sled ride a few times.

Riding the sled as Dada pulled Quincy and I.

Climbing through a snow tunnel.

Merry Christmas

I had a great Christmas this year. Who would have thought that I would enjoy sunglasses so much.

I got a Mr. Potato head and I just couldn't resist giving him a few hugs.

Playing peek-a-boo on the stairs.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve and Grandma and Grandpa Hearn's house. All my Auntie's were there as well as Uncle Justin. I enjoyed opening presents as represented by this hug I'm giving my new stuffed bear.

I couldn't be happier with my new shopping cart full of groceries from Grandma and Grandpa Hearn.

I was feeling festive and gave my best Santa impression.

Gilroy Gardens

I got to take a my first roller coaster ride and honestly, I don't get what the big deal is.

I did enjoy the carosel, however.

Live Nativity

We went to a live Nativity this year to see the story of the birth of Jesus. The wise men rode on camels. Kadence watched very intently and apparently listened very intently. Ever since then when she sees any animal (other than dogs) she makes the sound that the camels made.

If you'd like to know what a camel sounds like, check this out.

The Frown

Kadence has a very amusing facial expression to communicate her displeasure with something. Mostly it appears when she is told 'no'. It's kind of a cross between a frown and a 'piggie' face.

Of course I'm obsessed with getting something like this on camera. But I never seem to be able to capture is and usually when I'm telling her 'no', I'm also grabbing her away from something as opposed to relaxing on the couch behind the camera.

So, I staged it and risked future therapy sessions for Kadence. I just grabbed the camera and started telling Kadence, "No".

Here's what I got...

Holding Hands

Quincy and I have fun playing together and Quincy holds my hand to help me walk faster. Ususally I fall when she gets going to fast but I jump right up to play again.

Santa

It wasn't a good year for Santa pictures. Kadence clearly told Santa that all she wanted for Christmas was to get off his lap as soon as possible.

Children's Discovery Museum

Everything is a new discovery for me, so I don't need any fancy museum. But I did have fun with all the new stuff to look at. I played in the sand, even managing to eat very little of it.

I spent quite a while dropping the balls down the sprial slide. I'm just about tall enough to actually see them.
